Sportmanship Guidelines
"Leadership, Sportmanship, and Teamwork through Athletics"
All participants agreed to the following guidelines upon registration. Failure to abide by all items below could result in dismissal from participation in the League for Parents and Children.
1. I understand that the Gateway Flag Football League is organized to promote youth athletics and good Sportmanship.
2. I understand that my conduct as a parent will have a definite impact on my child for whom it is intended, the program and myself.
3. I pledge to be respectful to all officials, even in an expression of disagreement.
4. I do agree to adhere to the principles of good sportmanship.
5. I understand that if I display poor sportmanship, whether during or following a game or during practices, I/my child(ren) will be subject to program suspension. Unsportman like conduct is defined as, but not limited to the following:
a. Harassment of Participants or Officials
b. Use of Profanity or Inappropriate Gestures
c. Public Threats or Physical Violence
6. I understand that if I'm asked to leave a game, I will be suspended from attending the next game to be played by my son's or daughter's team. Additionally, further suspension my be levied as the League deems appropriate.
Should anyone observe any inappropriate behaviors by either children or parents please bring it to the coaches attention or League Organizer, Mike Kelly.
