This years National Tournament of Champions definitely didn't disappoint. The weekend was full of fun activities for all the teams.
Thursday, January 12
-Teams arrived from across the country throughout the day and made their way to the team hotel, Renaissance Plantation Hotel, in Plantation, FL
Friday, January 13
-During the morning and afternoon, teams traveled over to the Marriott Harbor Beach Resort in Spa in Ft. Lauderdale, FL to enjoy a day at the Beach. Teams were able to enjoy activities form the Beach and Pool to Basketball and Volleyball. This was a good chance for all the teams from different regionals to get to know one another.
-In the evening all the teams participated in a Bowling Tournament where our winner was the 12-14 Boys from the Oakland Raiders regional tournament. They definitely dominated the tournament.
-Following bowling the teams enjoyed a pizza and spaghetti party.
Saturday, January 14
-National Tournmanet of Champions was held at Central Broward Regional Park in their stadium. Even though the day was a little chilly, competition was great.
-That evening, the teams got together for an awards ceremony where Rosevelt Colvin, former NFL player for the Chicago Bears and New England Patriots, presented the teams their awards. After awards, teams ate dinner and watched the NFL playoff games.
